keeping warm during winter time

Winter Resources: Holiday Help and Warm Spaces

Each winter, we see a rise in calls from people looking for support—and from those eager to help. The most requested resources include:

  • Holiday assistance: Meals and Gifts
  • Warm spaces: Winter shelters and emergency warming centers
  • Ways to give back: Local donation and volunteer opportunities

Holiday Assistance Programs

Holiday resources change quickly. If you don’t find what you need right away, check back often.

Our database includes:

  • Year-round shelters with expanded winter capacity
  • Seasonal winter shelters
  • Severe weather shelters, activated during extreme conditions

In addition to helping you reach a safe, warm space, WA 211 can connect you to food assistance, health care, utility payment assistance and more.
